As a fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies BildEvidenz History and Aesthetics, Elcott is advancing an ongoing project on phantasmagoria, trompe l’oeil, and other intersections between art, media, and illusions. He will present a paper titled „Medium-Specific Trompe l’oeil: Notes Toward a History and Theory.“
